Pete Rose - First Game Photo
This black and white photograph taken on April 8th, 1963 captures Pete Rose's first steps onto the opening day game surface at Crosley Field of which was his first appearance as an official major league player. This documented photograph of his first game in the majors shows Pete running onto the field with the likes of Gordy Coleman, Frank Robinson, Tommy Harper, and other Reds stars of the 1960's. Pete's first at bat during this first game produced his first walk in the major league record books and provided the fans in attendance that day with his "Charlie Hustle" run to first base. CEI Sports has completed much research only to find that this is the ONLY known photograph of Pete's first moments in the Majors and this photo has become very popular among Rose collectors.
